Paxmar forwarded an updated traffic study yesterday afternoon. The update includes
a comparison of traffic volumes on the roads surrounding the Miske Meadows
subdivision. The table includes traffic counts from the 2004 study, projections for
2011 and 2024, and the latest traffic counts on the surrounding roads from 2014.
Overall, the traffic volumes observed in 2014 (with limited development in Miske
and the addition of a school) are generally less than the 2011 no -build scenario.
Continued development in Miske Meadows will increase traffic, but traffic
generation and volumes are generally below what was expected in 2004, and the
improvements noted in the 2004 study were completed to address traffic issues
resulting from this development. Staff does not have any concerns with the
proposed Miske Meadows subdivision as it relates to traffic.
Please let me know if you have any questions, and I will see you tonight.
Zack Carlton, AICP I Planning Manager
763.635.1035 w 1763.635.1090 f
13065 Orono Parkway I Elk River I MN 155330
River
rlrlltl It
NATURE
