They directed staff to look in to the possibility of hosting an event in May or <br /> June and to research what other cities do for celebrations and funding. <br /> ------------------------------ <br /> Council recessed at 8:09 p.m. in order to go into work session. Council reconvened <br /> at 8:15 p.m. <br /> 10.1 Should Golf Carts be Allowed and Regulated by Permit <br /> Chief Nierenhausen stated most cities don't allow golf carts on city streets with the <br /> exception of Andover and Ramsey via a permtting process. He expressed his <br /> concerns regulating them such as conditions,insurance, monitoring, obstructed <br /> pathways, and drinking and driving. He noted in Andover an applicant must prove a <br /> physical disability before getting a permit. <br /> UREJ <br />
