The property has failed to come into compliance with lawful orders issued by the city; <br /> 2. The property has been subject to repeated violations of the Code of Ordinances; <br /> 3. There has been no good faith effort by the property owner(s) to bring the property into <br /> compliance. <br /> Background/Discussion <br /> During a mandatory inspection relating to the renewal of a rental dwelling license on 08/29/2017, a <br /> number of city ordinance violations were identified at the aforementioned property, specifically as to the <br /> condition of the yard. The property has been subject to repeated enforcement action by the city; action <br /> which has been initiated based on a complaint or as part of a license application. <br /> The most recent exterior inspection of the property was completed on 11/17/2017. It was determined <br /> that there has been no good faith effort to bring the property into compliance with previously issued <br /> lawful orders. <br /> Based on the history of violations and continued non-compliance with the most recent order, staff is <br /> seeking denial of a rental dwelling license in accordance with Sec. 30-199(a) of the Code of Ordinances. <br /> The denial/non-renewal of the rental dwelling license will prohibit the owner(s) from making a new <br /> application for the same facility for a period of up to one year. This action does not excuse the owner <br /> from compliance; failure to comply with all terms of applicable city ordinances is a misdemeanor and <br /> grounds for extension of the terms of this action.
