General Expenses of$9,060 are 115%more than the prior year, but are 39%below budget YTD. <br /> YTD costs are 3% less than prior YTD. <br /> For expenses, in total they are 2%more than the prior year, and are above prior YTD by 5%but <br /> are under budget YTD by 3%. <br /> For October 2017, the Electric Department has a Net Income of$1,047,905 and YTD Net <br /> Income of$1,922,987. This is more than the budgeted Net Income of$468,361 and above the <br /> prior year monthly Net Income of$882,454, but is lagging prior YTD Net Income of$2,882,097, <br /> however, it is ahead of budgeted YTD Net Income of$597,972. ($408,981 represents net <br /> income in 2016 due to the security sale and security income generated in 2016.) <br /> Water P&L <br /> The Water Department also continues to be ahead of budgeted YTD Net Income. <br /> October gallons of water sold (from September's usage) are up 13% from the prior year. For <br /> further breakdown: <br /> • Residential use up 23% <br /> • Commercial use up 5% <br /> Water Operating Revenues for October of$235,637 are up from last year by 13% and above <br /> budget by 11%. Operating Revenue is 5% above prior YTD, and is 3% above YTD budget. <br /> Other Revenues of$65,201 are ahead of the prior year by 7%, and ahead of prior YTD by 83%. <br /> Revenues are also ahead of YTD budget by 256%. The main drivers causing the prior YTD <br /> variance are WAC Fees of$373,527 and Developer Contribution of$55,882. <br /> Overall, Total Revenues of$300,839 are ahead of the prior year by 12%, and are ahead of prior <br /> YTD by 23%. As previously stated WAC Fees and Developer Contribution are the driving <br /> force. YTD Total Revenues are ahead of budget by 36%. <br /> Expenses are above the prior year by 1%, but are under YTD budget by 9%. <br /> For October 2017, the Water Department has a Net Profit of$93,902, which is ahead of last <br /> year's Net Profit of$65,057.
