Change Orders for City Hall/Police Department Facility <br /> <br />The City Administrator questioned whether the Council would like to <br />have Councilmember Kropuenske remain on the Change Order Committee <br />following his departure of office. It was the consensus of the Council <br />that Councilmember Kropuenske remain on the Change Order Committee. <br /> <br />Pat Klaers, City Administrator, indicated that the Committee has <br />recently approved three Change Orders pertaining to the security <br />system, the carpet, and the reception area security gate. The City <br />Administrator explained that the Committee approved Change Orders in <br />the amount of $15,906.00 for the security system; $5,804 for the carpet <br />in the Council Chambers and lunchroom area; and $6,005 for the <br />reception area security gate. It was the consensus of the Council to <br />accept the Change Orders. <br /> <br />6.5. Highway 10 and Main street <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmgren commented on the unsafe traffic conditions at <br />the intersection of Highway 10, the Otsego bridge, and Main Street. He <br />suggested that the City consider taking action to correct this <br />situation. Terry Maurer indicated that in order to start any type of <br />correction, a petition would have to be sent to MnDOT to update the <br />intersection. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmgren commented on the unsafe traffic conditions at <br />the intersection of Freeport Avenue and School Street. He recommended <br />that the City change the intersection to a three-way stop. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />Check Register <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO APPROVE THE CHECK REGISTER. <br />HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER <br /> <br />8. Other Business <br /> <br />The City Administrator informed the Council that the Chamber of <br />Commerce will be holding the State of the City Address on January 19. <br /> <br />8.1. Executive Session <br /> <br />The City Council recessed into Executive Session at 8:20 p.m. The City <br />Council reconvened at 8:45 p.m. <br /> <br />9. Staff Updates <br /> <br />There were no updates. <br /> <br />10. Adjournment <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED <br />SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> <br />TO ADJOURN THE MEETING. <br />THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER <br />
