Call Meeting to Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River <br />City Council was called to order at 5:00 p.m. <br /> <br />2. Consider 11/5/92 City Council Agenda <br /> <br />COUNCI LMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO APPROVE THE NOVEMBER 5, 1992, CITY <br />COUNCIL AGENDA. COUNCILMEMBER SCHULDT SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Canvass Municipal General Election Results <br /> <br />Mayor Tralle stated that it was necessary for the City Council to act <br />as the Board of Canvass and to canvass the Municipal General Election <br />results. The Council reviewed the election results as prepared by the <br />City Clerk. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 92-108, A RESOLUTION <br />CANVASSING THE NOVEMBER 3, 1992, MUNICIPAL GENERAL ELECTION RESULTS. <br />COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />4. Consider Cable TV Bids <br /> <br />Pat Klaers stated that the City opened bids for the audio and video <br />system and received quotes for the public address system for the new <br />Council Chambers. He stated that only one bid was received for the <br />audio and visual system which was from Blumberg Communications. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO APPROVE THE BID AND TO ENTER INTO A <br />CONTRACT WITH BLUMBERG COMMUNICATIONS FOR THE EQUIPMENT AND <br />INSTALLATION OF THE AUDIO AND VIDEO SYSTEM AT THE NEW CITY HALL IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $41,534.40, AND ALSO TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH BLUMBERG <br />COMMUNICATIONS FOR THE EQUIPMENT AND INSTALLATION OF THE PUBLIC ADDRESS <br />SYSTEM IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,351.35. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />The City Administrator indicated that these quotes do not include sales <br />tax and that the sales tax for the cable TV system will be <br />approximately $2,260 and sales tax for the public address system would <br />
