Call Meeting to Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Elk River <br />City Council was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Acting Mayor Schuldt. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Consider 8/17/92 City Council Agenda <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO APPROVE THE 8/17/92 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA. <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> <br />3.1. Consider 8/3/92 City Council Minutes <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO APPROVE TO 8/3/92 CITY COUNCIL MINUTES. <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> <br />3.2. Consider 8/10/92 City Council Minutes <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO APPROVE THE <br />MINUTES. COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />3-0. <br /> <br />8/10/92 CITY COUNCIL <br />THE MOTION CARRIED <br /> <br />4. Open Mike <br /> <br />John Wire, representing United Way, requested a variance from the <br />Council for a portable billboard to support a fund raiser for United <br />Way. He indicated that the size of the sign would be approximately 30 <br />feet by 12 feet and the sign would be moved to different locations from <br />time to time. Janelle Szklarski indicated that the present sign <br />ordinance limits the size of portable signs to 32 square feet. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Council that a decision on this item would <br />be made following Items 6.2 and 6.3 of the agenda. <br />
