Elk River City Council Minutes July 27, 1992 Page 5 . COUNCILMEMBER KROPUENSKE MOVED TO APPROVE A CHANGE TO SECTIONS 1, 2 AND 3, INCREASING THE BENEFIT FROM $1,900 YEAR OF SERVICE FOR 1993. COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0. ARTICLE 8, TO $2,100 PER THE MOTION. City Administrator Update (Continued) 8.3. Pat Klaers commented that the Bank of Elk River should be commended on the improvements made to the sidewalk along Freeport Avenue near the bank. He further stated that the improvements were completed within the public right-of-way. It was noted by the Council that the Bank of Elk River should be commended, however, they should be informed that improvements done within the public right-of-way must be done with approval by the City. 8.4. Pat Klaers informed the Council that an error had been made in the calculations of the 1992 Sealcoat Program. He indicated that due to the error, the cost for the sealcoat program would increase to $52,800. It was the consensus of the City Council to accept the higher figure of $52,800 for the Sealcoat Program of 1992 due to the miscalculations of the project area. 8.5. Pat Klaers informed assessment hearing the consensus of the the City Council Assessment Hearing. the Council that a date should be set for the for the Western Area Phase I project. It was Council to try for a September 28, 1992, as meeting date for the Western Area Public . 8.6. Lori Johnson informed the Council that the drainage work needed to be done in the Deerfield III area has not been complete and, therefore, the City is considering calling the Letter of Credit. Lori Johnson informed the Council that the amount of work to be done will not equal the full Letter of Credit, however, on advice from by the City Attorney, the City is considering calling the full amount of the Letter of Credit. This issue was discussed by the Council and it was the consensus of the Council not to call the entire amount of the Letter of Credit if it is not needed. It was further noted by the council that no extensions should be granted for completion of the erosion work in Deerfield III. 9. Adjournment There being THE MEETING.
