COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED <br />THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 8, <br />TO $2,100 PER <br />THE MOTION. <br /> <br />City Administrator Update (Continued) <br /> <br />8.3. Pat Klaers commented that the Bank of Elk River should be <br />commended on the improvements made to the sidewalk along Freeport <br />Avenue near the bank. He further stated that the improvements <br />were completed within the public right-of-way. It was noted by <br />the Council that the Bank of Elk River should be commended, <br />however, they should be informed that improvements done within the <br />public right-of-way must be done with approval by the City. <br /> <br />8.4. Pat Klaers informed the Council that an error had been made in the <br />calculations of the 1992 Sealcoat Program. He indicated that due <br />to the error, the cost for the sealcoat program would increase to <br />$52,800. It was the consensus of the City Council to accept the <br />higher figure of $52,800 for the Sealcoat Program of 1992 due to <br />the miscalculations of the project area. <br /> <br />8.5. <br /> <br />Pat Klaers informed <br />assessment hearing <br />the consensus of the <br />the City Council <br />Assessment Hearing. <br /> <br />the Council that a date should be set for the <br />for the Western Area Phase I project. Lori Johnson informed the Council that the drainage work needed <br />to be done in the Deerfield III area has not been complete and, <br />therefore, the City is considering calling the Letter of Credit. <br />Lori Johnson informed the Council that the amount of work to be <br />done will not equal the full Letter of Credit, however, on advice <br />from by the City Attorney, the City is considering calling the <br />full amount of the Letter of Credit. This issue was discussed by <br />the Council and it was the consensus of the Council not to call <br />the entire amount of the Letter of Credit if it is not needed. It <br />was further noted by the council that no extensions should be <br />granted for completion of the erosion work in Deerfield III. <br /> <br />9.
