<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER CITY COUNCIL <br />HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL CONFERENCE ROOM A <br />MONDAY, MAY 10, 1993 <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Duitsman, Councilmembers Dietz, Holmgren, Farber, <br />and Scheel <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Staff Present: <br /> <br />Pat Klaers, City Administrator; Sandra Thackeray, City <br />Clerk; Lori Johnson, Finance Director <br /> <br />1. Call Meeting To Order <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Executive Session of the <br />Elk River City Council was called to order at 9:21 p.m. by Mayor <br />Duitsman. <br /> <br />4.1. Discussion of Police Union Contract Negotiations <br /> <br />The City Administrator informed the City Council that there has been a <br />proposal to settle the 1993-94 Police Union Contract. Because it is <br />unlikely that there will be a wage freeze approved by the Legislature, <br />the City Administrator recommended a two year contract. He indicated <br />that past practice has been to negotiate a two year contract and stated <br />that a two year contract would benefit the City and the Union. The <br />City Administrator reviewed the proposal with the City Council. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER FARBER MOVED TO APPROVE THE 1993-94 POLICE UNION CONTRACT <br />AS OUTLINED IN THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR 4/5/93 AND 5/4/93 MEMOS. <br />COUNCILMEMBER SCHEEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />4.2. Adjournment <br /> <br />There being no further business, COUNCILMEMBER SCHEEL MOVED <br />THE MEETING.
