<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER CITY COUNCIL <br />HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL CONFERENCE ROOM A <br />MONDAY, MAY 10, 1993 <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Duitsman, Councilmembers Dietz, Holmgren, Farber <br />and Scheel <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Staff Present: <br /> <br />Pat Klaers, City Administrator; Sandra Thackeray, City <br />Clerk <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Bob Minton, Planning Commission Chair <br /> <br />The purpose of this special meeting was to interview the two candidates for <br />the City Planner position. <br /> <br />The Council interviewed Steven Ach at 6:00 p.m. and Scott Hickok at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Following the <br />applicants. Bob <br />recommendation, <br />staff. <br /> <br />interviews the <br />Minton gave <br />as he sat in <br /> <br />Council discussed the qualifications of both <br />the City Council the interview committee <br />on the 5/6/93 interviews conducted by City <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmgren stated that he was also present during the interviews <br />held by City staff. He urged the City Council to look at the quality of the <br />applicants when making a decision. <br /> <br />Following discussion of the applicants, the City Council decided not to make <br />a decision this evening, but to vote on the applicant to be hired at the May <br />17, Council meeting. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br />There being no further business, COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN MOVED TO ADJOURN THE <br />MEETING. COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION.
