<br /> <br /> <br />DIVISION 2. - TRUCK ZONES AND LOADING ZONES <br /> <br /> <br />Sec. 74-121. - Designation; hours. <br />Loading and truck zones are as designated by resolution. The hours from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. of <br />any day, or such other time as the council may from time to time specify by resolution, shall be the <br />loading zone or truck zone hours. <br />(Code 1982, § 1100.12(1)) <br /> <br />Sec. 74-122. - Request for establishment of zone. <br />Any person desiring the establishment of a loading zone or truck zone abutting premises occupied <br />by him shall make written application therefor to the council. If the council grants the request, the proper <br />city officer shall bill the applicant for the estimated cost of placing signs and painting the curb. When the <br />amount is paid to the city treasurer, the chief of police shall install the necessary signs and paint the curb. <br />(Code 1982, § 1100.12(4)) <br /> <br />Sec. 74-123. - Use of truck zones. <br />During truck zone hours, no person shall stop, stand, or park any vehicle except a truck in a truck <br />zone. No person shall stop, stand, or park a truck in a truck zone during truck zone hours except to <br />receive or discharge passengers or freight, and then only for a period no longer than is necessary for the <br />purpose. <br />(Code 1982, § 1100.12(2)) <br /> <br />Sec. 74-124. - Use of loading zones. <br />During loading zone hours, no person shall stop, stand or park any vehicle in a loading zone except <br />to receive or discharge passengers or freight, and then only for a period no longer than is necessary for <br />the purpose. No person shall occupy a loading zone with a vehicle other than a truck for more than five <br />minutes during such hours. <br />(Code 1982, § 1100.12(3)) <br /> <br />Sec. 74-125. - Semitrailer parking. <br />No person shall allow a semitrailer to stand or be parked unattached from a tractor unit for any length <br />of time on any street in the city except in an emergency in order to change tractors. <br />(Code 1982, § 1100.12(5)) <br /> <br />Sec. 74-126. - "No truck parking" zones. <br />"No truck parking" zones in the business district where heavy traffic by trucks or other traffic <br />congestion makes parking by trucks a hazard to the safety of vehicles or pedestrians are as designated <br />by resolution.
