<br />City Council Minutes <br />July 25, 1994 <br /> <br />Page 11 <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Council to direct the City Engineer to prepare the <br />plans and specifications for the project contingent upon an appropriately sized <br />escrow account being established by the developer to cover the cost of the <br />improvements. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 94-82, A RESOLUTION <br />DECLARING THE ADEQUACY OF THE PETITION FOR IMPROVEMENT AND ORDERING <br />THE PRELIMINARY FEASIBILITY REPORT IN THE MATTER OF THE HILLSIDE ESTATES 3RD <br />ADDITION IMPROVEMENT OF 1994. COUNCILMEMBER SCHEEL SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> <br />8.3. Review City policy on trunk sewer and water assessment rate of $3,800 per acre <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Council to table this issue to the August 1. 1994, City <br />Council meeting. <br /> <br />. <br />8.7. Consider contract for Americans with Disability Act (ADA) consultinq services <br /> <br />The City Administrator requested that the Council consider contracting with Julee <br />Quarve-Peterson, Inc. in the amount of $5,900. The service would assist the City in <br />complying with all applicable codes, laws and guidelines pertaining to <br />accessibility for all persons with disabilities. He further stated that the City has <br />$4,000 budgeted in the 1994 budget for this purpose. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO APPROVE THE EXPENDITURE OF AN AMOUNT <br />NOT TO EXCEED $5,900 TO ENTER IN A CONTRACT WITH JULEE QUARVE-PETERSON TO <br />ASSIST THE CITY IN COMPLYING WITH THE ADA LAW. COUNCILMEMBER SCHEEL <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> <br />8.8. <br /> <br />Update on Fire Chief applications <br /> <br />Mayor Duitsman updated the Council on the Fire Chief application process. <br /> <br />9.1. Update on Steerinq Committee Meetinas <br /> <br />The Council received information in the Council packets updating them on the <br />Steering Committee meetings. This issue was not discussed. <br /> <br />11. COUNCILMEMBER SCHEEL MOVED TO CALL AN EXECUTIVE SESSION OF THE CITY <br />COUNCIL TO DISCUSS PENDING LITIGATION OF THE HOHLEN PROPERTY AND THE <br />HOULTON FARMS. COUNCILMEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 3-0. <br /> <br />The Council recessed into executive session at 9:55 p.m. <br /> <br />The Council reconvened at 10: 12 p.m. <br /> <br />e <br />
