Assistant Finance Director <br /> <br />The City Administrator informed the Council that he and the Assistant City <br />Administrator. Lori Johnson. have interviewed all of the Assistant Finance Director <br />applicants. <br /> <br />He further stated that their first choice for the position is Jean Nichols. He <br />informed the Council that Ms. Nichols was present and questioned whether they <br />would be interested in interviewing her this evening. It was the consensus of the <br />Council to interview Ms. Nichols at approximately 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The Council recessed at 7: 1 0 and reconvened at 7:20. <br /> <br />4.1 Plannino Commission Appointments <br /> <br />COUNCIL MEMBER FARBER MOVED TO APPOINT ROBERT MINTON, THOMAS DIllON <br />AND VICKI SULLIVAN TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION WITH TERMS EXPIRING ON <br />DECEMBER 31, 1997. COUNCIL MEMBER DIETZ SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br />CARRIED 3.1.1. COUNCIL MEMBER SCHEEL OPPOSED. COUNCIL MEMBER <br />HOLMGREN ABSTAINED. <br /> <br />4.2 <br /> <br />Pork and Recreation Commission Apoointments <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />COUNCIL MEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO APPOINT ROBIN TUTTlE, ROLFE ANDERSON <br />AND SHAWN DONAIS TO THE PARK AND RECREATION COMAAISSION FOR A THREE <br />YEAR TERM, EXPIRING DECEMBER 31, 1997. COUNCIL MEMBER FARBER SECONDED <br />THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />4.3 <br /> <br />utilities Commission Appointment <br /> <br />Mayor Duitsman stated that he would like to see somebody on the Utilities <br />Commission with electrical experience. He indicated that Don Kettner has this <br />experience. <br /> <br />COUNCIL MEMBER FARBER MOVED TO APPOINT JOHN DIETZ TO THE UTIlITIES <br />COMMISSION FOR A THREE YEAR TERM, ENDING DECEMBER 31,1997. COUNCIL <br />MEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0.2. MAYOR <br />DUITSMAN AND COUNCIL MEMBER DIETZ ABSTAINED. <br /> <br />Council Member Holmgren indicated he felt it was important that a Council <br />Representative be on the Utilities Commission. <br /> <br />4.4 Library Boord Appointments <br /> <br />COUNCIL MEMBER DIETZ MOVED TO REAPPOINT MARY KEIFENHEIM TO THE LIBRARY <br />BOARD FOR A THREE YEAR TERM, EXPIRING DECEMBER 31,1997. COUNCIL <br />MEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />e <br />
