<br />'\- <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Provides for the training and membership in planning related <br />associations in order to increase the professionalism of the seven <br />member volunteer planning commission. The planning commission <br />provides recommendations to the city council on all planning and <br />zoning related issues. <br /> <br />2000 BUDGET COMPARED WITH 1999 BUDGET <br /> <br />This departmental budget is: <br /> <br />- Proposed in the amount of $7,400; <br />- A $100 increase compared to the adopted 1999 budget; <br />- Less than 1% of the total general fund expenditures. <br /> <br />This budget contains funding for the training of planning commission <br />members by way of attendance at local, state, and national conferences. This <br />budget includes funding for two planning commission members to attend a <br />national conference subject to city council approval. If more than two . <br />planning commission members desire to attend the national planning <br />conference, the funding would have to come from the city council contingency <br />budget and council approval would be necessary. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />26 <br />
