.

.

.

FROM THE DESK OF...

TO: Mayor and City Council

DATE: November 8, 1999

CITY CLERK
SANDY PEINE
441-4906

SUBJECT: Council E-Mail

From time-to-time, I receive e-mail addressed to the City Council. Currently, the
unwritten policy I follow is to respond to the e-mail author by indicating that I have
forwarded their letter to the council. In some cases, if the letter or concern is
directed to a specific department, the letter is also forwarded to the department.
As an example, the letter regarding the nuisance complaint was also forwarded to
Steve Rohlf's department.

If the council wishes to respond to the e-mail, it can do so on its own or contact me
and I will be glad to send an e-mail response. Some of the e-mail received will not
require responses. E-mail is a way for citizens to voice their opinions to their
council representatives.
