Further, the city reserves the right to stop work <br />authorized in its approval until the site is appropriately investigated <br />and work is authorized. <br />11. Street names shall be correct on the Final Plat. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />7.7 Simple Plat: Dancing Crane Acres <br />Mr. Leeseberg presented the staff report. <br />Mayor Dietz opened the public hearing. There being no one to speak to this issue, <br />Mayor Dietz closed the public hearing. <br />Mayor Dietz questioned the Park and Recreation Commission's recommendation for <br />a 15 -foot trail easement on the east side of Meadowvale Road the entire length of the <br />Plat. <br />Mr. Leeseberg indicated staff is not recommending the trail easement because the <br />Parks and Recreation Master Plan shows the trail on the west side of the road. <br />Mayor Dietz stated he doesn't believe the plan dictates what side of the road the trail <br />is proposed. <br />Mr. Leeseberg indicated staff was told by the City Council, during the Whiteoak Plat, <br />the trail plans are side specific. <br />Councilmember Wagner asked how the applicant feels about the trail easement <br />Bob Gretton, applicant, 14160 227h Avenue — explained he isn't sure the property is <br />conducive for a trail because of the ditch and the close proximity to buildings already <br />located on the property along Meadowvale. <br />Councilmembet Westgaard requested staff review and see how close the trail would <br />be to the existing buildings. <br />Mayor Dietz indicated he would like to continue this item until a representative from <br />the Parks and Recreation Commission is in attendance and can explain their request <br />for the trail easement. <br />Councilmember Westgaard asked the applicant if delaying this item poses issues for <br />him. Mr. Gretton indicated he is agreeable to continuing this item to October 2. <br />Moved by Councilmember Westgaard and seconded by Councilmember <br />Olsen to continue the Simple Plat for Dancing Crane Acres to October 2, 2017. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />r 0R'tRfl RI <br />NATURE <br />
