<br /> <br />A new retail building to house Goodwill Industries and Sherwin Williams is nearing <br />completion. The $900,000 building is located in the Hillside Crossing retail development <br /> <br />Guardian Angels, a non-profit elderly care and housing organization, has completed <br />construction on a new assisted living center. The complex also includes town homes, and <br />ancillary retail buildings, which will be constructed next year. <br /> <br />Shiely Masonry expanded its block manufacturing plant by 40,700 square feet. <br /> <br />central Lutheran Church recently completed a 17,000 square-foot addition to its existing <br />church. <br /> <br />Construction on a Boys and Girls Club is nearing completion. The facility is expected to <br />open in the fall 1999. <br /> <br />sportech, an after market snowmobile accessory supplier, has expanded its operations to <br />include manufacturing of snowmobile windshields. Sportech has constructed an 11,000 <br />square-foot building to house all of its office, manufacturing and warehouse operations. <br /> <br />Supermats, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of mats and flooring products has <br />constructed a 40,000 square-foot manufacturing building on the last lot in the' Elk River <br />Industrial Park. Prior to construction, Supermats, Inc. leased space in the industrial park. <br /> <br />A bicycle shop and an antique store have opened in downtown Elk River in space recently <br />vacated by the local newspaper, Elk River Star News, which relocated to a larger facility. <br /> <br />ffice Max is constructing a store valued at approximately $1,300,000 in the Elk Park <br />enter shopping area. <br /> <br />Hollywood Video constructed an 8,100 square-foot building in Elk Park Center.
