. At their workshop held on Thursday August 10th, the Planning Commission
discussed possible station locations and would like to offer the following
comments:

. They were concerned about traffic congestion and conflicts with school
traffic at the Jackson Street site.
. They were concerned about parking at the Jackson Street site, but felt
shared parking with St. Andrews Church would help alleviate parking
problems for both.
. Felt the Jackson Street site would benefit Central Business District
revitalization efforts.
. If the Jackson Street site is picked, the station design should compliment
the character of the Central Business District.
. Three of the Commissioners would like to see the station on Jackson
Street but felt the 171 st Avenue site is more realistic.
. One Commissioner preferred the 171 st Avenue site.

The Highway 10 roadway alternatives in Elk River include items such as
construction of service roads, signal coordination and controlling access
points.

.

.
