This is a project that the City expects to receive federal funding for in <br />fiscal year 2001. The project memorandum, which is the federal paperwork needed to initiate <br />the project, has been prepared and submitted to Mn/DOT for review and comment. <br /> <br />We have recently completed the research of the necessary easements and the preparation of a <br />right-a-way plan for the project. This will soon be submitted to Mn/DOT for approval and <br />authorization to expend municipal state aid dollars on the land acquisition. There are <br />approximately 17 easement parcels that need to be acquired for this project to be completed. <br />At this point staff believes it would be appropriate to get a quote from Evergreen Land Services <br />for the acquisition of the necessary right-of-way. As you are aware from our previous projects, <br />the land acquisition phase has to be completed before the construction plans can be reviewed <br />and approved. Therefore, if we are going to be ready to proceed with construction in the year <br />2000, in case the county does not proceed with CSAH 12, we need to initiate right-of-way <br />acquisition soon. <br /> <br />If you have any questions regarding this issue or this project, I will be in attendance at your <br />August 9, 1999 City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Sincerely, <br /> <br /> <br />HO~~R.
