Angie Westermeyer Request for Conditional Use Permit for Home Occupation (Hair Salon). <br />Public Hearing-Case No. CU 04-41 <br /> <br />Planner Chris Leeseberg submitted the staff report. Mr. Leeseberg stated the applicant is <br />requesting a conditional use permit to operate a hair salon at 13808 213'h Avenue. He <br />discussed site layout, hours of operation and the Planning Commission's recommendation. <br />Mr. Leeseberg stated that this home is located in a cluster development that has a shared <br />septic system. Staff is concerned with the impact that chemicals used in the salon may have <br />on this sys tern. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Dietz opened the public hearing. <br /> <br />Angie Westermeyer, 13808 213'h Avenue-Stated that it has not been made clear to her by <br />city staff as to whether she could put in holding tanks or a drainfield. She stated that the <br />homeowners association has sent her a letter denying permission to use the shared septic <br />system for her business. <br /> <br />Mr. Maurer stated that the Building Department (per building code) does not allow <br />alternative septic systems in Elk River except as a last resort application. <br />
