The following major activities are planned with a number of additional <br />events and activities, all of which will be planned around the following: <br /> <br />· The festival is scheduled to run the weekend of September 18-19. This should work <br />well for family participation as all kids will be back in school. <br />· The Rendezvous is scheduled to begin Friday and run through Sunday. We are <br />working with local bus companies to arrange transportation for the kids to and from <br />school. We anticipate a large turnout from the kids and their families. <br />· A 5K Run is scheduled for Saturday morning. It will begin at the Pinewood Golf <br />Course and end at the downtown bridge. We anticipate this to run from 7 AM to 9AM. <br />We are anticipating appro,omately 300-350 participants. <br />· Thereafter, the Lucky Duck Race) the Walk A Bout and kids activities/games are <br />scheduled. Other activities and ideas for the kids include a fish pond) potato sack <br />races) 3 legged races, watennelon spitting contest, egg toss, dunk tank, balloon toss, <br />horse shoes, corn on the cob eating contest, frog jumping, face painting and anything <br />else we can come up with. <br />· Historical tours, bus rides, and the Administration Tent will all originate and be <br />located downtown. The Walk About is scheduled to run Saturday and Sunday along <br />with the Lake Orono Tours. <br />· Horse and trolley rides will all originate from the downtown. <br />· Vendors will be located all downtowntown. <br />· Saturday Night the Firemen' 5 Dance is scheduled which we are trying to coordinate <br />with. <br />· Sunday the Parade is scheduled and will start at the bridge at Lake Orono and end at <br />the bridge downtown. This is scheduled to run from 1 PM -2PM. <br />· An Ice Cream Social is scheduled as a mixer after the parade for all to join in. <br /> <br />Any questions regarding the concessions can be directed to myself or Char at the address <br />or number above. <br />
