The fitness court is an outdoor bodyweight circuit training system built in public spaces. Staff <br />had a conference call with representatives of the National Fitness Campaign and was intrigued by the <br />value of providing a world class fitness system free for residents. <br /> <br />Orono Park is an ideal location, as shown in the proposed Orono Park Master Plan, for this court. Staff <br />presented this item to the Parks and Recreation Commission on July 12. <br /> <br />Financial Impact <br />A city contribution of $80,000, along with installation of a concrete pad.
