Drainage calculations are provided upan r request by Bogart, Pederson & <br />Assoc. <br />Locations of impervious surfaces. <br />Locations of areas not to be disturbed (e.g., buffer zones, wetlontls, etc.). <br />Steep slope locations. <br />Loco ions of all temporary and permanent erosion and sediment control BMP's to be <br />installed on the project. <br />The detail sheets indicate erosion nd sediment control BMPS to be installed on the <br />P <br />roject. Infiltration area shall be staked off during construction to restrict heavy equipment <br />troffic from compacting native soils. <br />2. Install appropriate temporary erosion devices to prevent sediment from leaving <br />or entering the pr.ctice during construction. <br />3. Construct and vegetate bioretenti.n device following stabilization of contributing <br />tlroinoge ore.. <br />4. Grading of the infiltration basin shall be accomplished using IDw— impost earth— moving <br />equipment to prevent comps lion of the underlying soils. Small hacked dozers and <br />bobcats with runner tracks are recommended. <br />5. Excovole the infiltration basin to the specified depth (elevation). It is recommended <br />that all sub material below the specified elevation shall be undisturbed. <br />5. In the event that sediment is introduced into the bmp during or immediately following <br />ovation, this material shall be removed from the practice prior to continuing <br />construction. <br />7. Remove temporary erosion control devices after the contributing drainage ore. is <br />.tlequ.tely vegel.ted. <br />Down gradient silt fence ontl sediment log installations are to be inplace prior to <br />the cam mentem ent of any earthwork operations. <br />Topsoil is to be windrowed "long the construction limits and placed as slope <br />dressing immediately following completion of the grading operations, as the grading <br />operations proceed. <br />Topsoil placement along the embankment slopes though the wetlontls are. is to <br />be spread by o low impact c .wler tractor operating up and down the slopes so <br />as to provide track prints parallel with the contours. <br />Installation of Mn /DOT Category 3 Erosion Control Blanket along the embankment <br />Slopes adjacent the wetlontls ore.. <br />All temporary soils stockpiles will require an effective m of sediment control <br />such o n erosion control Dl.nkel Covering or silt fenced nstallation along the toe <br />of slope. a <br />All completed ditch slopes and bottoms not draining towards the wetlontls area <br />ore to be stabilized within 7 days. <br />Temporary stabilization will be required in are.. here grading operations are <br />suspended or ceased for o period of 7 day. or greater. <br />A rock construction entrance for sediment control is to be provided at the project <br />drive..ys. <br />Street s eeping of the paved surfaces will be required as directed by the <br />Engineer. <br />Tracked sediments must be removed from II paved surfaces, adjacent roodwoys, <br />and other off —site areas within 24 hours of discovery. <br />TIMING EROSION CONTROL <br />Silt fence will be installed prior to construction <br />Riprop and tiller blanket will be placed at the outlets within 24 hours <br />of the outlet placement. <br />The contractor must stabilize the all exposed soil areas immediately <br />following construction wherever Construction will not occur for o period <br />greater than or equal to 7 days. <br />Stabilization work must be complete within 7 c.lender tloys after the <br />construction work in that ore. has temporarily or permanently ce.sed. <br />Arens that o within 2DD ft of o Public Water must be stabilized <br />within 24 hourrs of completing construction during periods of "Work in <br />water rest riclions" for time periods declared by the DNR. <br />The Contractor is esponsible to maintain the disturbed .re. until <br />vegetation in established. <br />Once vegetation is established and construction is complete, the silt <br />fence and any other temporary erosion control that is not <br />biodegradable shall be removed. <br />Street sweeping ill be provided on as directed by the Owner The City <br />may require the Owner to provide Street s eeping. If so the Sireet <br />sweeping must occur within B hours of of notice from the City. <br />Applying mulch, hydr.mul.h, t.ckifier, p.1y.cryl.mide or similar erosion <br />prevention practices is not acceptable stabilization in any port of o <br />temporary or permanent drainage ditch or ...le. <br />INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES <br />The Contractor is to provide o trained intlivitluol responsible Tor the <br />implementation, inspection ontl maintenance of the erns n ontl setlimenl control <br />BMPS on the project. That individual is to be identified at the pre — construction <br />c onterence and listed in the minutes thereof. <br />The appointed individual is to perform o routine inspection of the entire site at <br />least once every seven days during construction operations and within 24 hours <br />otter o rainfall event greater than 0.5 inches in 24 hours. <br />A recommended inspection form will be provided to the Contractor of the <br />pr—construction conference. Any deficiencies in the erosion and sediment control <br />BMPS are to be noted on the inspection form and corrected by the end of the <br />next business day. <br />Perimeter control devices are to be repaired or replaced when they are no longer <br />effective or when the sediment reaches one —half the height of the device. <br />POLLUTION PREVENTION <br />Fertilizers are to be applied only in the amounts as specified and worked into the <br />soil to minimize exposure to stormwoter runoff. <br />Onsile refueling operations o e to be conducted with c Any inodvertenl spillage <br />of to el or chemicals is to be immediately cleaned up, removed from the site ontl <br />disposed of in accordance to State and Local Regulations. All vehicles <br />nsite o e to be monitored for leaks and subject to routine preventive <br />maintenance efforts to reduce the likelihood of leakage and or spills. <br />Portable sanitary waste facilities are to be provided onsite and emptied on o <br />bi— weekly basis. <br />Concrete botch trucks will not be .11—cl to discharge drum and chute ..shout <br />directly on the ground.
