ELK RIVER MUNICIPAL UTILITIES <br /> REGULAR MEETING OF THE <br /> UTILITIES COMMISSION <br /> HELD AT UTILITIES CONFERENCE ROOM <br /> May 9,2017 <br /> Members Present: Chair John Dietz;Vice Chair Daryl Thompson; Commissioners Al Nadeau, <br /> Mary Stewart,and Matt Westgaard <br /> ERMU Staff Present: Theresa Slominski,Finance and Office Manager; <br /> Eric Volk,Water Superintendent; <br /> Tom Sagstetter,Conservation&Key Accounts Manager; <br /> Michelle Canterbury,Executive Administrative Assistant; <br /> Jennie Nelson,Customer Service Manager; <br /> Tom Geiser,Assistant Electric Superintendent <br /> Others Present: Cal Portner,City Administrator;Peter Beck,Attorney;Robyn Hoerr, <br /> Groundwater Specialist with Minnesota Rural Water <br /> 1.0 GOVERNANCE <br /> 1.1 Call Meeting to Order <br /> The regular meeting of the Utilities Commission was called to order at 3:30 p.m.by Chair Dietz. <br /> 1.2 Pledge of Allegiance <br /> The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br /> 1.3 Consider the Agenda <br /> There were no additions or corrections to the agenda. <br /> Moved by Commissioner Thompson and seconded by Commissioner Nadeau to approve the <br /> May 9,2017,agenda. Motion carried 5-0. <br /> 1.4 MN Rural Water Association/MN Department of Health Source Water Protection Award <br /> Ms.Robyn Hoerr,Groundwater Specialist with Minnesota Rural Water Association,was at the <br /> meeting and provided some background on the Minnesota Rural Water Association/Minnesota <br /> Department of Health Source Water Drinking Award. She shared that although ERMU did not win <br /> the award,ERMU's application was very strong and came in with the second largest amount of <br /> votes.
