General Expenses of-$3,064 are 127% less than the prior year, and are 63%under budget YTD. <br /> The main driver causing the variance to prior YTD is due to timing of rebates. <br /> For expenses, in total they are 7%more than the prior year, and are above prior YTD by 6%but <br /> under budget YTD by 3%. <br /> For April 2017,the Electric Department has a Net Profit of$471,090 and YTD Net Profit of <br /> $457,961. This is ahead of the budgeted Net Profit of$142,847 and prior year monthly Net <br /> Profit of$395,996,but is lagging prior YTD Net Profit of$551,067. <br /> Water P&L <br /> April gallons of water sold(from March's usage) is consistent to the prior year. For further <br /> breakdown: <br /> • Residential use up 3% <br /> • Commercial use down 3% <br /> Water Operating Revenues for April of$124,810 are up from last year by 2% and on budget. <br /> Operating Revenue is 1%below prior YTD, and is 2%below YTD budget. <br /> Other Revenues of$209,978 are up from the prior year by 275%, and ahead of prior YTD by <br /> 83%. Revenues are also ahead of YTD budget by 272%. The main drivers causing the prior <br /> YTD variance are Connection Fees of$120,230 and Developer Contribution of$55,882. <br /> Overall, Total Revenues of$334,789 are ahead the prior year by 87%, and ahead of prior YTD <br /> by 28%. As previously stated Connection Fees and Developer Contribution are the driving <br /> force. YTD Total Revenues are ahead of budget by 52%. <br /> Expenses are below the prior year by 2%, and are under YTD budget by 10%. <br /> For April 2017, the Water Department has a Net Profit of$126,957, which is ahead of last year's <br /> Net Loss of$33,991.
