<br />. <br /> <br />Code Enforcement Intern <br />The city has received only one application for the position of Code Enforcement Intern. <br />It is lucky that the one person who applied is qualified for the position. Staff is <br />recommending the city hire Eric Chesimet for this position at $10.00/hour (no <br />benefits). <br /> <br />Mr. Chesimet has a BA Degree in Political Science/Criminal Justice from the University <br />of South Dakota and is currently working on a Masters Degree in Public Administration <br />at Hamline University. In a previous position, Mr. Chesimet was a Claims Examiner for <br />the Dayton Hudson Corporation. Experience he gain in this position can be applied to the <br />position of Code Enforcement Intern. <br /> <br />Mr. Chesimet appears to have a good personality. Staff feels he will get along with the <br />public well and we look forward to working with him. <br /> <br />UPDATE <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />When Mr. Chesimet gave his current employer notice, they made him a counter <br />offer that he could not economically refuse. He will not be coming to the city to <br />work. Staffwill continue to try to fill this position. <br /> <br />. <br />
