<br />June 30, 1904: Posted 5 notices of Special Election to be held July 12, 1904, in 5 of the most <br />public places in the Village, viz.: <br /> <br />One: on Door of Blacksmith Shop of Preston Chapman <br />One: on Bulletin Board in Post Office <br />One: on Front Door of Courthouse <br />One: on Front Door of North Star Lumber Co. shed <br />One: on Front Entrance to E.P. Mills & Co. Store <br /> <br />W.F. Chadbourne, Vill. Rec. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The following is a copy of the above notice: <br /> <br />Notice of Special Village Election <br /> <br />The electors of the Village of Elk River, in the County of Sherburne, and State of Minnesota, who <br />are qualified to vote at a general election in said Village, are hereby notified that a Special Village <br />th <br />Election will be held in and for said Village at Grant Army Hall in said Village, on the 12 day of <br />July 1904, from ten o’clock in the forenoon to four o’clock in the afternoon of said day, to vote <br />upon and determine the following proposition, viz.: <br /> <br />“Shall the Village of Elk River aid in the construction of a bridge across the Mississippi River at said <br />Village, a lawful public improvement therein, and within two miles of the limits thereof, and for <br />such purpose issue and negotiate its bonds in the said amount of seven thousand five hundred <br />($7500) dollars? This notice is given pursuant to a resolution of the Village Council of said Village <br />st <br />duly passed and recorded, at a meeting thereof duly held on the 21 day of June 1904.
