Rec. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />Minutes of Special Village Election <br />July 12, 1904 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Minutes of Special Village Election held at Grand Army Hall on Tuesday, July 12, 1904, for the <br />purpose of voting on the question of bonding the Village in the sum of $7500 for the purpose of <br />building a bridge across the Mississippi River. <br /> <br />Present: L.G. Davis and N.D. Trumbull, Judges, and W.F. Chadbourne, Village Recorder. <br /> <br />Judges and clerks being duly sworn, polls opened at 10 o’clock A.M. and continued open until 4 <br />o’clock P.M., proclamation of closing having been duly made by Judges, who proceeded to publicly <br />canvass votes contained in ballot box, with the following result: <br /> <br />Eighty-eight (88) ballots were cast in favor of bonds; <br />None against. <br /> <br />The vote was declared duly \[illegible\] to issue bonds, the following being a copy of vote used for <br />such purpose. <br /> <br />L.G.
