QUALITY PROGRAMS AND COMMUNITY SERVICE <br />• Stearns County Sheriffs Dept. Explorer Shianna Ganoe was recognized for <br />saving a choking victim's life using first aid skills learned in Exploring. <br />• Eagle Scout Brian Amundson gained state-wide attention for building an archery <br />range at Mississippi River County Park, north of Sartell. <br />• The BeatBotz Robotics team from Sartell Troop 211 made it to the VEX Worlds <br />competition in Louisville, Kentucky. <br />' • Lion Cubs pilot program kicked off in the fall with 136 kindergarten boys. <br />• National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) held at Parker Scout Camp provided <br />28 Boy Scouts with the skills to be effective Troop leaders. <br />• Our council held its third Wood Badge course and trained 22 adult leaders and <br />produced 110 projects to improve Scouting in central Minnesota. <br />• Our Soles4Souls shoe drive collected over 14,000 pairs of shoes from all across <br />central Minnesota for people in need around the world. <br />• Our Packs, Troops, and Crews provided 23,180 hours of community service. <br />• 425 Scoutreach participants, funded by United Way and Capital One 360. <br />• Our council achieved Gold Council status in the Journey to Excellence Metrics. <br />CAMPING EXPERIENCES <br />• 668 Cub Scouts, Webelos, and adults attended summer resident camp. <br />• 105 Boy Scouts and adults participated in the Council South Fall Camporee 2016. <br />• 299 Cub Scouts, Webelos, and adults participated in Camp Nanuq winter camp. <br />• 31 Boy Scouts and adults participated in winter camps at Parker Scout Camp. <br />• 373 youth and 124 adults attended Ripley Rendezvous 2016 "CSI: Ripley". <br />SCOUT LAW <br />/ best to do my duty to God and my country A Scout is: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, <br />1w; To help other people at all times;' To <br />imes;To keep Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, <br />, mentally awake, and morally straight.
