EGty1� ,.,�� Request for Action <br /> River <br /> To Item Number <br /> Mayor and City Council 4.12 <br /> Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by <br /> Consent Aril 17, 2017 Michael Hecker, Parks and Recreation Director <br /> Item Description Reviewed by <br /> Hillside City Park Trail Construction Cal Portner, City Administrator <br /> Reviewed by <br /> Action Requested <br /> Approve,by motion, the construction of a natural surface single-track trail at Hillside City Park. <br /> Background/Discussion <br /> Within the Parks Improvement Fund, $63,000 was allocated for trail improvements at Hillside City Park. <br /> The Minnesota Off-Road Cyclists (MORC) in cooperation with the city developed trail construction <br /> specifications and solicited quotes for the construction of a natural-surface single-track trail at Hillside <br /> Park. Two quotes were received. The lowest quote of$50,400 from YRU Contracting Inc. is <br /> recommended. They plan to start construction in early July. <br /> Construction will consist of approximately 18,500 LF of natural surface single-track trail built to an <br /> approximate trail tread width of 30-inches.
