Sherburne Wright Equipment Purchase Requests
Truck Lights
During production shoots and also Movie in the Park events we have had difficulties during tear
down and cleanup with having adequate light. Some cities do not have lights in these areas so we
are forced to have volunteers shine their car lights towards the work area. This can be difficult in
some communities that don't allow vehicles on the grass or field areas.
We would like to add lights to both trailers and the production truck to help us with this problem.
It will also help us address concerns regarding volunteer and staff safety while working at night.
The Buffalo Fire Chief recommended these lights for their quality and value and showed us the
ones that the department uses with their vehicles.
Action Requested:Approval of the purchase of Qty. They have 2
production employees that have been sharing 1 edit system. Editing equipment has changed
significantly since this system was originally installed.
The edit system that is requested was designed to work easily with the Nexus HD file system
installed in Elk River and will allow Elk River staff to edit camera files produced in the
Commission production trailer and with the cities portable cameras.
It is based around an Intel Xeon E3 Skylake processor, internal solid state drives and a ASUS
graphics card. It uses the Windows 10 Pro 64-bit OS.
Additionally the city has requested the ability to save and share files to a network attached
storage system that will have 8 - 3TB drives. This NAS will be used by both of Elk River's
producers to archive, share and re-purpose footage.
5
