General Expenses are $10,133, 29%more than the prior year, but are 48%under budget YTD. <br /> The main driver causing the variance to prior YTD is labor. <br /> For expenses, in total they are consistent with the prior year, but are above prior YTD by 4% and <br /> under budget YTD by 4%. <br /> For February 2017,the Electric Department has a Net Profit of$168,479 and YTD Net Profit of <br /> $173,245. This is ahead of the budgeted Net Loss of$136,942, as well as over prior year <br /> monthly Net Profit of$14,185, and over prior YTD Net Profit of$40,115. <br /> Water P&L <br /> February gallons of water sold (from January's usage) is down 1% from the prior year. For <br /> further breakdown: <br /> • Residential use down 1% <br /> • Commercial use down 1% <br /> Water Operating Revenues for February of$112,872 are up from last year by 2%but behind <br /> budget by 1%. <br /> Other Revenues of$45,169 are up from the prior year by 49%, but behind prior YTD by 25%. <br /> The main driver causing the prior YTD variance is connection fees. Other Revenues are ahead <br /> of YTD budget by 66%. <br /> Overall, Total Revenues of$158,042 are ahead the prior year by 12%, but behind prior YTD by <br /> 9%. Again, Connection Fees being the driving force. YTD Total Revenues are ahead of budget <br /> by 12%. <br /> Expenses are below the prior year by 13%, and are under YTD budget by 13%. <br /> For February 2017, the Water Department has a Net Loss of$40,485, which is ahead of last <br /> year's Net Loss of$87,272.
