Sagstetter suggested working with GRE and Waste Management on education and <br />outreach. Hermann will collect information on the "It's in the Bag" program and <br />suggested working with businesses to reduce blue plastic bags in the waste stream. <br />5.3 Climate Stuart Municipalities <br />Mroz provided the update and shared the schedule with the commission. <br />5.4 Green Corps <br />Mroz provided the update. <br />5.5 Energy City Action Plan review and updates <br />Mroz reviewed the Action Plan. No changes were made at this time. <br />5.6 Energy City Signage <br />Tabled until the next meeting. <br />5.7 Great River Energy Pollinator Habitat Planting — Matt Hermann <br />Hermann gave a powerpoint presentation regarding the native prairie plants that <br />GRE will be planting on their 9 acre front lawn this year. <br />6. Announcements <br />8.1 Commissioner Updates <br />1. Hermann mentioned that the biodigestor project had applied for a <br />LCCMR grant and would have meetings in June/July. <br />2. Sagstetter mentioned that the city is looking into including an electric <br />vehicle into the 2017 budget and possible lease an E -ride. ERMU is applying <br />for a DEED grant to install EV charging stations. <br />8.2 Staff Updates <br />1. The Green House Gas Assessment is nearing completion <br />2.
