To achieve that vision, we have designed <br />the Healthy Communities Partnership Program. <br /> <br />Healthy Communities Partnership <br />Program <br /> <br />Purpose The Healthy Communities Partnership Program provides <br />integrated community development training, grant support, and <br />technical assistance to strengthen the leadership capacity of <br />communities to plan effectively for the future. The program helps <br />communities to integrate all aspects of community life into the <br />planning process, resUlting in a healthier, sustainable community <br />which achieves economic vitality, the protection of natural <br />resources, and the well-being of all citizens, through active civic <br />participation. <br /> <br />Training Over the first year of the Program, the community team <br />will participate in six training sessions. The sessions are described <br />below: <br /> <br />. Preparation - Bringing the group together, what is a healthy <br />community, and team building. <br />. Community Building - Ensuring diversity, working with <br />different styles, leadership skills, and running effective <br />meetings. <br />. Visioning - Imaging the future, writing mission and goals, <br />determining indicators, and identifying teams. <br />. Assessment - Examining current and project trends, <br />identifying assets of individuals and institutions. <br />. Planning and Implementation - Including identifying <br />objectives, strategies and activities, getting funding, <br />completing projects, evaluating successes, organizing and <br />coordinating, setting priorities, and building consensus. <br />.
