We met with 17 city representatives on October 20 and discussed the suggested revisions. We appreciate the feedback received from all city representatives who reached out to us. On November 15th, the GRRL Board of Trustees approved the revised language and the addition of exhibits to include an asset list and the GRRL policies which the agreement references. They also extended the deadline for cities to approve the new agreement to June 30, 2017. Our staff will work with your city in early 2017 to compile asset listings to show which furniture, fixtures and equipment are city owned. The recent revisions clarify areas that have caused confusion with our cities in the past. This Library Branch Agreement ensures all of our cities are being held to the same standards for the facilities they provide. It also more clearly defines GRRL responsibilities. Enclosed is the agreement for your signature. If your city is unable to approve it before the June 30th deadline, an extension request needs to be submitted to the GRRL Board of Trustees for consideration.
