.

fenced display area. The total area for the garden center operation is 4800
square feet.

The proposed location for the garden center is the parking lot in front of the
store. The garden center will take up 26 spaces near the south end of the
store. The location is out of the main flow of traffic and should not create any
parking or traffic flow problems. The greenhouse was located in this location
in 1997 and operated without any problems.

Recommendation

It is recommended the City Council approve Cub Foods request for a general
planning permit to allow a temporary greenhouse/garden center with the
following conditions:

1. If traffic becomes a problem around the site, the sales area shall be
delineated with some type of barrier to restrict traffic.

2. The green/garden center must be kept in good condition throughout the
time it is in place.

.

3. The location of the greenhouse will be consistent with the site plan.

4. The greenhouse and display area shall be removed within one week of the
end of sales and the site be returned to its original condition.

.
