<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 99- <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 204.02 <br />OF THE ELK RIVER CITY CODE <br />PERTAINING TO THE DUTIES <br />OF THE POLICE CHIEF <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Elk River does hereby ordain as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. That Section 204.02 entitled "Chief of Police" of the City of <br />Elk River Code of Ordinances shall be amended as follows: <br /> <br />204.02 - CHIEF OF POLICE <br /> <br />The Chief of Police shall have supervision and control of the <br />Police Department and its members. The Chief of Police shall be <br />responsible for law enforcement and for property of the City used <br />by the department. The Chief of Police shall be responsible for <br />the proper training and discipline of the members of the <br />department. Further, the Chief of Police shall be responsible <br />for the keeping of adequate records and shall report on the needs <br />of the department and its work. Every member of the department <br />subordinate to the Chief of Police shall obey the instructions of <br />the Chief of Police and any superior officer. That this ordinance shall t~ke effect and be in full force <br />from and after the date of its publication. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted this 8th day of February, 1999 by the City council of the <br />City of Elk River. <br /> <br />Stephanie A.
