<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: Planning Commission <br /> <br />FROM: Michele McPherson, Director of Planning <br /> <br />DATE: February 8, 2005 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Worksession Agenda Items <br /> <br />2. Greenway Implementation Strategies <br /> <br />The Parks and Recreation Commission has been developing a policy statement for <br />implementation of the Greenway System identified in the Comprehensive Plan and further <br />studied through the Natural Resources Inventory. Commissioner Paul Paige of the Parks <br />and Recreation Commission will be in attendance to present a draft policy statement for <br />consideration by the Planning Commission. The Parks and Recreation Commission will <br />consider this policy statement for adoption at their February 9, 2005 meeting. <br /> <br />Staff will be discussing this issue with the City Council at the March worksession meeting to <br />get some general direction from the Council. A joint meeting between the Planning <br />Commission and Parks and Recreation Commission has been tentatively scheduled for <br />Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. in the Uppertown Conference Room. There will be <br />no April worksession for the Commission. Please mark your calendars appropriately. No <br />action is asked of the Commission regarding the Parks and Recreation Commission policy at <br />this time. <br /> <br />3. Transportation Priorities Discussion <br /> <br />Attached please find a memo and several attachments from City Engineer Terry Maurer. He <br />will be in attendance to discuss the City's history of transportation improvements and to <br />review the list of future improvements that have been identified in the Comprehensive <br />Transportation Plan. The Commission is asked to discuss these improvements and to <br />recommend to the City Council the priority order of these improvements. <br />
