Call Special City Council Meetina for January 15, 1999, for Attendance <br />at the Special Housina and Redevelopment Authoritv CBD Work Plan <br />Presentation <br /> <br />City Administrator Pat Klaers advised the Council of the Special Housing <br />and Redevelopment Authority meeting to be held on January 15,1999, <br />11 :30 a.m. - 1 :00 p.m. In anticipation of a quorum attending, Pat <br />suggested that a special City Council meeting be called for stated date <br />and time. <br /> <br />MAYOR KLINZING MOVED TO CALL A SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING FOR <br />JANUARY 15, 1999, AT 11:30 A.M., AT CITY HALL FOR ATTENDANCE AT THE <br />SPECIAL HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY MEETING. <br />COUNCILMEMBER THOMPSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION <br />CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />7.2. <br /> <br />City Administrator Pat Klaers updated the Council on the condition of the <br />bleachers located along the sides of the old rink at the Elk River Arena. <br />This issue was prompted by an accident in which a six year old boy was <br />killed in a fall from the Hutchinson arena hockey bleachers. Pat stated <br />that Building Official Cliff Skogstad reported that since the bleachers at <br />the Elk River Arena are 25 (plus) years old, they are no longer up to code. <br />Pat further indicated that Cliff will be working with Arena Manager Rich <br />Czech on this issue and updates will be presented to the Council. <br /> <br />8.
