<br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />Board of Ramsey County Regional Railroad Authority <br /> <br />Date: September 26. 2000 <br /> <br />No.: ROO-20 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Northstar Corridor Development Authority has completed the physical design <br />component of the Advanced Corridor Plan for the Northstar Corridor Commuter Rail line; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Northstar Corridor Advance Corridor Plan includes preliminary station plans <br />for the Minneapolis Northeast and Minneapolis Downtown commuter rail stations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Northeast Minneapolis commuter rail station is the preferred station to connect <br />with and facilitate transfers with the Central Corridor/Red Rock Commuter Rail Corridor; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Ramsey County Regional Railroad Authority has reviewed the Northstar <br />Corridor Advanced Corridor Plan for the Minneapolis Northeast and Minneapolis Downtown commuter <br />rail stations; Now, Therefore, Be It <br /> <br />, <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOL VED, That the Ramsey County Regional Railroad Authority strongly recommends that <br />the Northstar Corridor Development Authority locate the Minneapolis Northeast Station to avoid the <br />necessity of transferring in downtown Minneapolis for commuter rail passengers traveling on Central <br />CorridorlRed Rock Corridor wanting to travel to Anoka County and points beyond, and for commuter rail . <br />passengers traveling on Northstar wanting to ~vel to St. Paul and points beyond; and Be It Further <br /> <br />RESOL VED, That the Ramsey County Regional Railroad Authority recommends that the <br />Minnesota Department of Transportation convene a Northstar Corridor Development Authority <br />joint subcommittee that has requested one member from.the Central Corridor, the Red Rock <br />Corridor, the City of Minneapolis, and Mn/DOT to determine the viability of the Minneapolis <br />Junction transfer station and to share and review information regarding the Minneapolis Junction <br />station. <br /> <br />RAMSEY COUNTY REGIONAL RAILROAD AUTHORITY <br />YEA NA YOTHER <br />X <br />X <br />X <br />X <br />X <br /> <br />Tony Bennett <br />Susan M.
