The Ramsey <br />County Regional Railroad Authority has received a copy of this plan and would like to offer <br />comments on the Minneapolis Northeast Station and the Minneapolis Downtown Station. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The Railroad Authority would like to express our concerns with the Minneapolis Northeast <br />Station plan. After examining this plan, we have conduded that the only way to safely and <br />reasonably transfer from the Central ConidorlRed Rock Corridor to the Northstar Corridor is to <br />continue traveling into the downtown Minneapolis Station a star <br />train headed out of downtown Minneapolis. This is n acceptable transfer concept to us. <br />We would like the location of a transfer station in an .' SI of <br />transferring in downtown Minneapolis. We recommend that the Minneapolis Northeast station <br />be the station that could accommodate this transfer, which at its present location and design, <br />would not The proposed station is too far north or too far south (we feel a more appropriate <br />location would be north or south of the existing location) and does not connect with future <br />Central CorridorlRed Rock Corridor Commuter Rail. <br /> <br />Anoka County Commissioner and NCDA member Paul McCarron and I had reached an <br />agreement that this connection issue be resolved.
