Parks&Recreation Commission Minutes Page 2 <br /> November 9,2016 <br /> 6.1 Eagle Scout Project—Westwood Subdivision <br /> Mr.Tyler Hamilton from Eagle Scout Troop 582 would like to clean up the city park <br /> property adjacent to the Park Avenue Right-of-Way in the Westwood subdivision. <br /> There is a pontoon boat,fishing boat, several snowmobiles, an ATV,a few sheds <br /> and miscellaneous construction material that will be removed, starting this winter. <br /> Mr. Hamilton would like to create a single track path from Meadowvale Road, along <br /> the Park Avenue ROW to the property and create a gathering place near the lake. <br /> Mr. Hecker and other city staff went to the site to view the ROW access to the land <br /> and confirmed there is the ability to create a single track path. The Western Avenue <br /> ROW has an easement granted to the adjacent homeowner so all travel will have to <br /> be on the Park Ave ROW. <br /> Mr. Hecker stated this project will be on for City Council approval,if approved by <br /> the Park and Recreation Commission, on November 21,2016. <br /> Neighbors will be notified of this project and given time to remove anything they <br /> might have onsite after City Council approval of the project. <br /> Mr. Hecker verified there is nothing identified in the Parks and Recreation Master <br /> Plan for this parcel of land. <br /> Moved by Commissioner Sagan and seconded by Commissioner Ahlness to <br /> approve this Eagle Scout project as presented. Motion carried 7-0. <br /> 6.2 Arena Commission Member Nomination <br /> Mr. Hecker presented his staff report. <br /> Mr.Ahlness and Mr. Sagan will be co-liaisons on the Ice Arena Commission so if <br /> one can't attend, the other person can. <br /> Moved by Commissioner Niziolek and seconded by Commissioner Nystrom <br /> to recommend to City Council to appoint Commissioners Ahlness and Sagan <br /> as Parks and Recreation Commission co-Liaisons for the Ice Arena <br /> Commission.
