Food prices rose 0.8 percent over the year while <br /> the index for energy fell 8.5 percent. (See chart 1.) <br /> Chart 1. Within the food category, the index for food <br /> away from home (restaurant, cafeteria, and vending purchases) increased 3.1 percent over the year while <br /> prices for food at home (groceries)were 1.0 percent lower. <br /> 63 <br />
