City of <br />Elk — <br />River <br />Request for Action <br />To <br />Item Number <br />Mayor and City Council <br />10.1 <br />Agenda Section <br />Meeting Date <br />Prepared by <br />Work Session <br />December 5, 2016 <br />Robert Kluntz, Administrative Capitan <br />Item Description <br />Reviewed by <br />175th Avenue Truck Traffic <br />Justin Femrite P.E., City Engineer <br />Reviewed by <br />Cal Portner, City Administrator <br />Action Requested <br />Discuss concerns about truck traffic on 175"' Avenue. <br />Background/Discussion <br />During Open Forum at the October 3, 2016, City Council meeting, resident Paul Tentis gave a <br />presentation detailing concerns with excessive/unnecessary commercial truck traffic using 175`b Avenue <br />between Twin Lakes Road and Fillmore Street. <br />Since that time, our officers have directed patrols to better understand the nature of the traffic on this <br />corridor. A summary of our activity is attached. <br />When this topic was originally brought to staffs attention one suggested option was to add "No Truck" <br />signs on 175"' Avenue.
