She wondered if Council should become more involved or if <br />more time should be spent by staff monitoring these posts. <br /> <br />Mr. Portner explained his approach to staff monitoring of social media and the time <br />and resources involved to obtain and distribute factual information. He stated in his <br />role as public information officer he is concerned about letting others respond and <br />would prefer information continue to be funneled through him. He recognizes the <br />need for timely posts as this community is Facebook savvy and suggested Council <br />contact him directly when information requires a response. <br /> <br />10.
