Eclty1� ,.,�� Request for Action <br /> River <br /> To Item Number <br /> Mayor and City Council 8.3 <br /> Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by <br /> General Business November 7, 2016 Michael Hecker, Parks and Recreation Director <br /> Item Description Reviewed by <br /> Hillside City Park Plan Cal Portner, City Administrator <br /> Reviewed by <br /> Action Requested <br /> Approve,by motion, the Hillside City Park Plan as attached. <br /> Background/Discussion <br /> In October, the Parks and Recreation Commission recommended Council approval of the Hillside City <br /> Park Plan. <br /> City Council direction was for staff to work with the Commission on a long-term plan for Hillside City <br /> Park to include a vision, final trail plan, and a budget. The Commission,MORC members, and staff <br /> worked on a committee this past summer to develop the plan. The plan includes a list of project <br /> recommendations that can be considered by the Commission when reviewing the Park Improvement <br /> Fund. <br /> The Park Improvement Fund includes a recommendation for funding to construct bike trails at Hillside <br /> as outlined in the plan.
