With the current conditions of these aging facilities, the city has deferred $10-12 million to fix immediate needs of these buildings. These fixes will extend their lifespan 10-15 years before the city will have to reevaluate the state of these buildings. The city will have to spend the$10-12 million even if the referendum fails to keep the buildings viable for use by the community. A successful referendum will provide a facility with a 50+ year lifespan to efficiently meet future and current needs. r r .
