The plan was developed from community feedback received at two
workshop meetings and a Facebook Page designed specifically for the skate park project. Overall the
design has been well received by potential users of the park. The park utilizes a concrete design with
features highly desired by skaters that focused on what is considered to be good flow. Also, the park
utilizes a design intended to compliment surrounding features of Orono Park.
Council adoption of the design is required before the construction documents can be produced.
The skate park project has been approved to be included with park improvements to be funded as part of
the $30 million Community Center referendum this November.
Financial Impact
Construction cost: $370,187
Attachments
■ Design Schematic A
■ Design Schematic B
■ Design Schematic C
■ Design Schematic D
■ Construction Budget
POWERED 9r
UREI
