hundred sixty (960) hours to be used in accordance with the Family Medical <br /> Leave Act. <br /> 22.3 The city administrator, at his/her sole discretion, may grant exceptions to items b, <br /> c, and/or d above due to unforeseen circumstances when item "a" is met. <br /> ARTICLE 23 —BEREAVEMENT LEAVE <br /> Employees shall be eligible for Bereavement Leave consistent with the city Personnel <br /> Policy Manual. <br /> ARTICLE 24—VACATION <br /> Vacation Leave requests shall be made no fewer than three (3) days before the anticipated <br /> commencement of leave or less with supervisor approval. <br /> Vacation is accrued based on consecutive years of leave-eligible service. Employees may <br /> carry up to 240 hours of unused vacation forward from one year to the next. Regular full- <br /> time employees shall accrue paid vacation leave on the following schedule: <br /> Length of Service Accrual rate <br /> From start of employment through 88 working hours per year <br /> completion of the 5 year <br /> Beginning of the 6th year through 112 working hours per year <br /> completion of the 7th year <br /> Beginning of the 8th year through 120 working hours per year <br /> completion of the 9th year <br /> Beginning of the 10th year through 128 working hours per year <br /> completion of the 11th year <br /> Beginning of the 12th year through 136 working hours per year <br /> completion of the 13th year <br /> Beginning of the 14th year through 144 working hours per year <br /> completion of the 15th year <br /> Beginning of the 16th year through 152 working hours per year <br /> completion of the 17th year <br /> Beginning of the 18th year 160 working hours per year <br /> Beginning of the 19th year 168 working hours per year <br /> Beginning of the 20th year 176 working hours per year <br /> 15 <br />
