<br />A-328 <br /> <br />Title: <br /> <br />1.0 <br /> <br />1.1 <br /> <br />1.2 <br /> <br />1.1.2 <br /> <br />1.1.3 <br /> <br />2.0 <br /> <br />2.1 <br /> <br />2.1.1 <br /> <br />2.1.2 <br /> <br />2.1.3 <br /> <br />2.1.4 <br /> <br />Number: 2024 <br />Date Adopted: <br /> <br />School Board Discipline Policy <br /> <br />STATEMENT OF POLICY <br /> <br />Independent School District 728 has developed a policy to ensure the <br />integrity of its own conduct, recognizing that: <br /> <br />conduct in the job of board governance of ISO 728 is important; and <br /> <br />the Board must be able to govern itself before presuming to govern others; <br />and <br /> <br />the district needs to be able to rely on a consistent, predictable and stable <br />style of operation. <br /> <br />PURPOSE <br /> <br />A School Board Member who violates School District policy, the School <br />Board's Governance Policy, the Rules by which the Board determines it is to <br />be governed, or state or federal law, adversely affecting the School District or <br />the Board Member's ability to effectively serve on the School Board, may be <br />subject to the following: <br /> <br />removal from committee assignments and other duties by the School <br />Board Chair at the direction of the School Board; <br /> <br />a reprimand by the School Board given at an open School Board <br />meeting; <br /> <br />a referral to appropriate law enforcement agencies; and <br /> <br />other sanctions provided by law, including, but not limited to, <br />removal from office pursuant to state law, Minnesota Statute <br /> <br />Clerk, School Board <br /> <br />Chair, School Board <br />
